Executive Summary
CVE-2023-43901 exposes an access‑control flaw in eMudhra emSigner v2.8.7’s AdHoc User creation form. Unauthenticated attackers can supply a registered user’s email to arbitrarily change that user’s username and privilege level, effectively enabling privilege escalation and data tampering without authentication. The vulnerability is not yet listed in CISA KEV.

Original Description: Incorrect access control in the AdHoc User creation form of eMudhra emSigner v2.8.7 allows unauthenticated attackers to arbitrarily modify usernames and privileges by using the email address of a registered user.
